In an effort to compensate for my missed Tuesday run I resolved to push the middle 3 miles to the max, preferably in under 21 mins. I achieved my aim, but felt the cost! I covered the middle three miles in 20:15 min but was really struggling to get enough air by the end.
I suspect that 6:45 min. miles are the fastest I can do at the moment - good job I only have to do 26.2 8:36 min miles for a 3 hr 45 min marathon then!

I've been follwing your progress from the start as you know, and we here in the cambridge division of the stalkers anonymuous are a little bit dissappointed by the lack of entries in the last week of training.You know we have money riding on your success, and william hill is far less charitable than most. I lost last weekend on the national and was hoping to turn my luck around with forrestHarvey in the 9o'clock at London. I'm hoping your silence is to raise the odds... Devilboy
